Israel To Destroy Dome Of Rock Mosque On Temple Mount? Time For 3rd Temple To Be Built?

Breaking News from the Middle East. This is huge !! The prophesy of Daniel coming to life right in front of our eyes ‘Matthew 24:15'. Many High Ranking Israelite Officials are declaring that the al-Aqsa Mosque (Dome of Rock) has to go, NOW! Will Israel destroy the temple?

If they do, it will fulfill the Biblical prophecy found in Matthew 24:15 which read as follows
“”So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand–”
“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ [Anti-Christ] spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place [Jewish Temple]…” (In other words the Jewish Temple MUST be built for it to be desecrated.)

The word, “holy place,” used in this Scripture above, is referencing the New Jewish Temple that will be rebuilt in Jerusalem in the near future. Today there is an institution that is devoted specifically to this cause, it is called, “The Temple Institute.” They were founded in 1987 and are currently planning and developing the construction of the New Temple.

The temple probably would have been built by now if it wasn’t for the Muslims, “Dome of the Rock,” standing in the place the Israelite’s want to build. In truth, the temple can’t be built until some kind of arrangement can be made to either, build it where the “Dome of the Rock” lies and desecrate the Mosque, or build it in a second location. At this moment, it seems we are heading towards desecrating the Mosque. Either way, the moment something happens in order to solve this conflict, the temple is ready to go, ready to be built.

The Temple Institute has made sure of that! In fact the Temple Institute has currently restored over 60 different sacred temple vessels including: the Priest’s breastplate, the crown of the priest, the shofar, musical instruments, the laver, the mizrak, and more. Even some of the most important vessels: the Menorah, the Incense Alter, the Golden Table of Showbread, and a mock up of the “Ark of the Covenant.” It is only a matter of time before this Temple gets built and fulfills the prophecy in Matthew!

Be Ready!

Matthew 24:15 takes place during the Great Tribulation, which hasn’t started yet.

Exactly! Considering that many scholars think the abomination that causes desolation is Anti Christ going into the Temple and declaring himself to be God, it is obvious that the Temple must be rebuilt first. Will Israel destroy the mosques on the Temple Mount or will an earthquake take care of them? I don’t know, but one thing is for sure: they are in the way.

I am inclined to think a tectonic sift - an earthquake. There is a fault line through the area of the Dome of the Rock.

Earthquakes make us realize how tiny we are.
A bad earthquake, even a mild 5.0, would do MUCH damage to all that brick and dirt in Jerusalem! I had no idea that the area was prone to earthquakes.

I'm on, well near, the San Andreas fault. We do rock and roll sometimes, without even getting our of our chairs! :o)

There is such division in Islam—they may blow it up themselves. Maybe it could just “catch on Fire” an accident of some sort.

Perhaps it will be an Intelligently designed earthquake. Perhaps?

I never heard Israelis refer to themselves as Israelites.

I listened to the video. Sounds like the guy is eating a sandwich. I mean, if this is breaking news don’t you think he’d at least swallow and maybe wash his mouth out first?

Having the Dome of the Rock on the same sacred ground of the Temple Mount that used to house the two previously built Temples (Solomon's, Herod's), the Beit HaMikdash, “The Sanctified House”, is an abomination unto itself. I believe there WILL be a third temple in the same re-sanctified site in Old Jerusalem. How the al-Aqsa mosque is removed, I don't know, but it certainly shouldn't be allowed to remain. Let the Muslims move it to Mecca.

To Gog and Magog: a Memoir, deals with an archetypal malignant threat lurking in the Central Asia, periodically striking out from its lair to wreak havoc upon the world.

Do you see this as the Kings of the East with a 200 million man force (Rev. 9:16) coming up against Israel at the Battle of Armageddon as spoken of in Revelation 16:12?

Having lived for years in the Middle East, I can tell you that if the al-Aksa mosque or the Dome of the Rock were seriously damaged or destroyed it would unite Muslims worldwide in determination to destroy Israel.

Too late, they ALREADY are determined to destroy Israel.

How would that be? Destroy only the mosque?
I wouldn't wish that on anyone for any reason. What goes around DOES come around. I leave that kind of vengeance for the Lord to apply.

My husband and I worked and lived in Saudi Arabia for five years and I met more nice Saudis than I met aholes. I DID meet a few, don't get me wrong, but most were just folks.

The quotas of aholes in the world transcends gender, age, faith, national origin and intelligence. People make their choices, don't they?

I read somewhere that the al aqsa mosque is arguably the original temple site because of the clues in scripture to gihon springs and the ophel..(don’t quote me )

And their point was that the ‘dome of the rock’ was actually a christian site at one time.

True. What I meant to say was that it would be a Casus Belli that would trigger military action.

The temple was standing when Jesus made the prophecy, and it was desecrated about 40 years later around 70 AD, both during the civil war by Jewish factions inside Jerusalem, and by the Roman armies outside the walls. Since the upcoming abomination of desolation had not occurred, Jesus was pointing the disciples to a similar desecration that occurred during the reign of Antiochus IV, which was prophesied in Daniel 11 and 12.

There is no evidence of a third temple in the old or new testaments.

Now that is a very interesting question! In a previous book, The Gathering Storm I attempted to do what apparently no one else has bothered to do: calculate the actual logistics of such a stupendous military operation. Basically, it would require military columns that encircled the entire globe several times, completely swamping the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean with troops and equipment that had absolutely no room to maneuver.

In my view the Book of Revelation contains great mysteries that remain veiled to us, and any prophecy teacher, etc., who claims to have all the answers is fooling themselves - and the rest of us.

From the article, my emphasis:

>>>A second school held that the Third Temple will be built not by man but by the Messiah and there was nothing to do but pray and wait. This school is based on Rashi and Tosephot who draw on the verse "The Sanctuary, O God, which your hands have established."<<<

The quote was from Exodus 15:17. A similar passage can be found in Zechariah:

"And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The Branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both." (Zec 6:12-13 KJV)

Note that he serves as a priest: not while inside any temple, but from his throne. Therefore, passage is not talking about a physical temple. Jesus explained the new covenant temple here:

"Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." (John 2:19 KJV)

Spouting that kind of "blasphemy," in part, cost both Jesus and Stephen their lives. This was Stephen:

"Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet," (Acts 7:48 KJV)

Paul wrote about the holy temple this way:

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." (1 Cor 3:16-17 KJV)

"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit." (Eph 2:19-22 KJV)

New Jerusalem also has a temple made without hands:

"And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it." (Rev 21:22 KJV)
