Deuteronomy 4:2 is in the Torah, so you've taken the verse out of context here, Alamo-Girl.

It is not possible for Deut 4:2 to be out of context:

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. - Hebrews 13:8

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. - Rev 1:8

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. - John 8:58

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: - Col 1:15

Also, each time Jesus replied to Satan in the temptation, He said "it is written."

So out of context that it is repeated in Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, IF any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book?

Just so the 'context' is NOT lost: verse 16 "I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the (get this) churches. I am the Root, and the Offspring of David, and the bright and morning Star."
