In an interview with National Public Radio, former President Jimmy Carter said that Catholic teaching on womens ordination has led to the abuse of women throughout the world.
The fact that the Catholic Church, for instance, prohibits women from serving as priests or even deacons gives a kind of a permission to male people all over the world, that well, if God thinks that women are inferior, Ill treat them as inferiors, said Carter. If shes my wife, I can abuse her with impunity, or if I'm an employer, I can pay my female employees less salary.

“Yes, Jesus did chose Paul as an apostle. Are you using the Jefferson Bible, or your own special cut-and-paste version?”
I guess I’m missing something; Jesus chose twelve apostles, and later replaced Judas. Paul wasn’t involved in any of it, being converted by God on the road to Damascus.
I don’t recall Paul having any role in the Last Supper, the garden, the crucifixion, the upper room afterwards...Does your Bible (whichever one you use) include him in those parts?
