My first sentence sums up my discussion with you nicely: The first problem ... is that the majority of protestants, do not believe that anything written after the death of the last apostle is divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. Since you will only accept an answer from Scripture you prove my point that you are one of those protestants who do not accept that anything beyond the Bible is divinely inspired.
So why is that a problem?

I agree with metmom.
I guess my question to lurking, why are you so ready to accept writings outside of the Bible to be as authoritative as the Bible?
doesn't the Bible teach us all we need to know about Christ and how to be saved and have sins forgiven?
sorta reminds me of the Mormons and their book of Mormon.
