Well, part of his fortune was made by patent poaching people without the money to defend their patents through the courts. Every now and then a third party would finance one of the lawsuits and Bill would get a smack down from the courts, but usually they went broke and had to concede the litigation. That happened over and over all through the eighties.

Maybe Bill doesn’t feel right about giving that money to God because of how he got the money and what scripture says about making the amends he has not made.

Yep. When he finally takes his last breath, Gates will leave this rock the same way every person has ever left it, penniless and alone. All of his wealth, will be worthless to him, as it was to Steve Jobs. When he finds himself standing in front of The Lord, he will have to account for the use of his wealth during his time here. With all his foundation spending across the world intended to eradicate people instead assisting them, he will get his “come to Jesus” moment in the most literal of terms.
