‘Because of people like Mikey Weinstein, I almost want the Muslims to take over America for a couple years so they can learn what tyranny and gasoline on a (literal) fire is like.’
At the very least the Mikey Weinsteins and his fellow travelers on the social and cultural left could experience it while the rest of us could be exempt from it.

Someone needs to put the fear of God into Mikey swinestain.

The solution seems obvious : kick "29 cadets and four faculty and staff members" butts off the property. That single cadet is worth a hundred of them. And, frankly, I'd appreciate it if they weren't there to consume his valuable air.

He said the Bible verse on the cadet's personal whiteboard created a hostile environment at the academy.
"It clearly elevated one religious faith (fundamentalist Christianity) over all others at an already virulently hyper-fundamentalist Christian institution," he said. "It massively poured fundamentalist Christian gasoline on an already raging out-of-control conflagration of fundamentalist Christian tyranny, exceptionalism and supremacy at USAFA." Something tells me Mikey Weinstein has NO business being the director of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation. How can a mere whiteboard message outside a cadet's room be capable of creating a "hostile environment"? It's a BIBLE verse, not a Communist Manifesto! And why shouldn't military cadets be proud of American exceptionalism and the Christian traditions that made us that way???

How is a cadet who posts a little Bible verse worth any more than any other. Sorry, but the AFA’s mission is to create leaders of character, not Christian airmen. It is irrelevant to the mission.
To: Benito Cereno
1) He has courage in his conviction
2) The particular verse he chose is indicative of strength through inner peace
3) The other 29+4 were thin skinned in their objection
4) The other 29+4 showed a lack of impartiality
5) The other 29+4 would rather knock down a potential leader than see what God builds him up to be.
6) Religious conviction is the backbone of a successful volunteer military
7) The Constitution officers swear to protect, according to John Adams, is "only fit for a moral and religious people. It is wholly unsuited to the governance of any other kind"
8) There are no athiests in foxholes.
Eight reasons right of the top of my head why he's worth a hundred of his oppressors. And, #9, when in the position of needing to trust someone to cover my back, I would personally prefer a solid God-fearing Christian. I believe in all probability that a Christian is far less likely to throw a grenade into my tent. But that's my personal preference, and I realize I hold a significant amount of bias in it. But, at least to me, it is very relevant.

His oppressors? Now who’s being a complainer. He was simply ordered to remove a public posting of something that does not further the mission of the AFA. He’s not being burned at the stake. If you wouldn’t want a post from the Koran posted, or a Hail Satan poster, or an atheist screed, or a you name it, then this has to come down too. This is the US Air Force, not the Knights of Columbus.
To: upbeat5
One of these days, somebody’s going to file a hostile-environment countersuit on this crap.

Yes, his "oppressors". Look up the term; it was appropriately used. Regardless of how I feel about it, though, it looks like they're going to try it your way. We'll see how that fares. My suspicion is that a kindler, gentler, more accepting, faithless, and sensitivity trained military won't long be the most powerful fighting force on the face of the planet. I'd put money on it. But, again, that's my bias showing.

We’ll see. The way I see it however, is that the AFA has been needing to tamp down its religiosity for quite some time. Little Mikey’s tantrums have been the result of overboard religiosity in the public square (or terrazzo, as the case may be).
To: upbeat5
Little Mikey sounds like an atheist. Probably appointed by our most Christian bloviator in chief.

told me 29 cadets and four faculty and staff members contacted his organization to complain about the Christian passage.
I suspect it's more like four he badgered into complaining and 29 he made up.
