I've seen this quote numerous times, however, where is it quoted in Luther's works? Considering the amount of usage, shouldn't this be sourced? Where is the link to Luther's work?

Do you have an original source for that quote? I haven’t yet found a manuscript titled “Commentary on St. John” by Luther though that is the general description given for it.
