Last year the History Channel featured the epic television event, The Bible Series, which was produced by Roma Downey and her husband Mark Burnett. This show captivated audiences and became the talk of many churches. Churches even purchased pre-written sermons to go along with the show, which according to outreach.com made it into 180,000 churches.
Roma and Mark were endlessly interviewed in Christian magazines, and on Christian radio. All along saying that they were sold out Christians and believers filled with the Holy Spirit.
And the churches bought it.
They promoted it.
And yet, as I watched The Bible Series, I personally became furious at how much they twisted the word of God. Not just omitting things for the sake of timebut changing the theme, the message, and the nature of Bible characters, and the nature of God Himself. That is unforgivable.
God will judge that.
I was furious.
My husband and I were sitting in our darkened living room with our bowls of ice cream and we couldnt even get five minutes into it without pausing it and discussing how, not only is it different than the Bible, but that the way that it is different changes so much of the truth of God and the Bible. We would talk about what message it is sending to people that dont know God. It got so bad that I had to write about it.

Their version definitely had PC alterations / deviations from what I’ve read in my bible.
How so? I'm not disputing you I'm just curious.
I don’t think a truly Christian woman would wear a dress exposing her full cleavage down to her ribcage for one. The photos seem to indicate they are living the rockstar / celebrity lifestyle with hedonistic clothing and jewelry exhibitions on display that we are so used to seeing the Left embrace.
Leaving the Barry lookalike Satan figure on the cutting room floor to please the SHEEPLE is sacrificing the message for political correctness.
I was going to see this movie, but am now reconsidering. Is it 'The Bible' just re-edited or is it a wholly new production? That woman gives me the creeps. What a plastic surgery disaster she is.
Don't women know that attaching a bicycle tire pump to their lips totally destroys their looks? Her breasts are FAKE, too. YUCK!!
I was going to go through my recollection and list here but I see this guy has already done some of it. For one they don’t potray the real reason Sodom and Gommorah fell:

I thought you Amish folk didn't believe in modern day conveniences? Are you secretly posting from a computer in town?

Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington DC says, "I would recommend to individuals, and particularly to families, this wonderful story of the Son of God in order to be inspired all over again with the story of Gods love for us. It is a joy to watch this film bring alive the pages of the Gospel to help us see what those who lived at the time of Jesus experienced." - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/3126487/posts
Julie Roberts started that whole "goose anus" look.
Looking at my skin, I d say maybe the color of a real Amish man but not of the “I don’t tip” variety...: )

jsanders2001 is exactly right. "Modest apparel" is not dressing as described, or as in "Victoria's (not very) Secret, regardless of conformity to modern immoral culture.
Far better to be more like the Amish in this view, with a 3.9ghz AMD cpu.
What part of a woman's brain thinks this turns men on? LOL

He must have not watched it. The danger of these types of movies is that they rewrite and portray history differently than what it was and inject their own flavors and spin into it to change the viewer’s attitude toward’s different Subject matter or they pick and choose what they want to be in it for the same reason. Look at it for what it really is - a political tool and a lie or distortion of the truth which is still a lie. Satan is still up to his old tricks. He invented a god to mislead people and is about to use it to take over nations.

If you were a duck, maybe...: )
(Disclaimer: I don't care about the movie and probably won't see it, so I don't have a dog in the hunt, much.)
All I know is, Touched By An Angel always bugged me. They never said the word “Jesus,” only “God.” They would not come out against abortion, but only called it a “difficult choice.” And they had a Christmas episode that was a blatant anti-Border Patrol, pro-illegal immigration story. That did it for me.
What the hell is that?
