No more so than if I were to tell you, as you approached a cliff that, if you continue on your path over that cliff, 'ye shall surely die'...
You are answering a weeks old thread. I have not the time to go back and find what a wrote beside the snippet you posted.
Try to keep up to date.
That is almost true - but in the prophetic words of Bob Dylan, 'You've got to serve somebody'. America is only great when America is good. And that good comes from the voluntary service that comes from the heart of her citizens, and *not* from the dictates of her government. That has historically come from the Judeo-Christian Ethic that American thought necessarily begins with. Take that ethic away (which is exactly what is happening to us) and the whole thing must necessarily come tumbling down:
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. -John Adams
"We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God." -James Madison "The Father of Our Constitution"
Hah! sorry... Somebody must have woke it up...
I understand Jim and will respect your wishes. Please delete my account.
