All sin is an abomination to God.
Right.
Idolatry is a sin ... yet our culture idolizes wealth, physical beauty, youth, fame, power, public opinion, convenience ...
Profaning The Name of the Lord is a sin ... yet our culture is awash in profanity, obscenity and vulgarity.
We are commanded to honor our fathers and mothers ... yet much of our popular entertainment is predicated on the notion that adults in general and parents in particular are idiots. "Childrens' television" teaches contempt for fathers.
Murder is a sin ... and our culture rightly condemns it. Except when the victims are unborn ... or elderly ... or disabled ... then it's a sacred "right to choose".
Theft is a sin ... and our culture rightly condemns it. Unless we can get the government to do it for us. Stealing from "the 1%" is viewed in some circles as righteous.
Adultery is a sin ... that our culture winks at, while celebrating fornication and sodomy.
Envy is a sin ... and our culture wallows in it. Advertising promotes it; requires it.
God Bless America?
Yes, indeed: Bless us with the grace of repentance and conversion.
