Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Wonderful You Are!
Thank You For Your Word,
Which Gives us such a mighty Foresight into Your Plan!
Thank You For the Inspiration that comes from Listening to Your Voice.

Abba Father, We Thank You For Your Scripture.
We Thank You For The (so-called) "Minor" Prophets,
And For the Beautiful Gems of insight that we find in their writings.

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.

We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

A Representation of the prophet Haggai

Handel revised and "upgraded" his Oratorio "Messiah" a number of times. I have several recordings of it, and they vary wildly in Tempo, Orchestration, even the assigned voices for the different parts. However, the "Lyrics" remain the same. The power of the Word is not diminished by the Musical Arrangement.

In this section, a thundering Bass sings the words of two "Minor" Prophets, Haggai and Malachi. The only reason these men are called "Minor" Prophets is because their Books are considerably shorter than the "Major" Prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel). Musically speaking, "Minor" keys and chords sound sad, exotic, mysterious, or even mystical. Most of the messages of the "Minor" Prophets also fit that description, even though it may be just a coincidence in our language!

Both Haggai and Malachi speak of a shaking of the foundations, of an awakening from our slumber of convenience, and a challenge to our religious complacency.

Not such "minor" pronouncements after all!

Come and pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted believers, and For Our Own Beloved America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen
