God is all about work. When He gave the Promised Land to Israel, He described it as 'a land of milk and honey'. Now I don't know if you've ever spent time on a dairy farm, but that's hard work, I can assure you. And honey? That comes from bee hives. But to get that honey, you have to do some serious warfare with those bees.

Work and warfare - that is what God has in store for us to do.

Yep worked on a farm, milked a slew of goats twice a day and farmed with animals.

Mules and draft style horses instead of tractors.

No warfare with bees though, just a little smoke and they calm down. (Yea I know, chemical warfare...)

Spiritual warfare, been involved in that a lot.

But all after receiving salvation as a FREE GIFT, no work involved.

In fact if you try to work your way into heaven, it won't work.

And honey? That comes from bee hives

I imagine John the Baptist got honey from holes and trees, logs etc.

And check this out, honey is found in unusual places as back in the day:

And after a time he (Samson) returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcass of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcass of the lion.--Judges 14:8
