Yeah, not so much. The Holy Spirit through Paul shows you don’t “remain solidly with the plain words of Jesus and His apostles.
Gal. 2:16, "nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified."
You stumbled at that stumblingstone along with Israel.
Romans 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. 31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

It is not me, but you that keeps going to ‘justification’ by ‘works.’ To attribute that folly to me is a straw argument presented to shore up your nonexistent position.
Yeshua asked that we obey his commandments, and he promised to write them on our hearts, that we would out of love and the strength of faith given by the grace of his Father do so to the end.
I refuse to share your personal stumbling stone, so please do not include me in your dismay.
Those of us that endure to the end in that faith will be justified. This is that narrow way of which Yeshua spoke, and which you struggle to recognize, projecting your struggle upon myself and the others that have found it.

Is keeping Yeshua’s words “justification by works?
John 14:
[21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
[22] Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
[24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
[25] These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
If the spirit that speaks to you is not "bringing all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you," it is not the Holy Spirit!
