They describe the span of history from the end of the apostolic mission to the present. That is all the first five seals are. The 6th seal is the new stuff. The seals are affixed to Satan’s deed of rights to Planet Earth. (figuratively speaking)
(16) And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
I don’t see how one can identify the Lamb with Satan.
I have seen you post this before and if not mistaken you see the first seal broken in the time of Constantine. Is that correct? On another issue, based on your view of the timing of the first seal circa Constantine, do you see the following passage in Luke 21 as the AD 70 destruction of Jerusalem, a future destruction of Jerusalem or possibly both?
Luke 21:
20 "But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
The above seems to be the "peg" partial and full prederists hang their hat that most if not all (full prederists) Bible prophecies are fulfilled. Let me say, from your comments I know you are not a prederists of any stripe, just trying to understand how you see the first seal around the time of Constantine, yet Luke 21 shows the 70AD destruction of Jerusalem.
