tedw, Yes that to. That is how He redeemed us. If you believe He is the Lamb of God (as I do), it is contained within that.
So you believe mankind is redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God, correct? If you believe the blood of one man was sufficient to atone for the sins of all mankind, then you have a major problem. The blood of one sinless man can only atone for one man. HOWEVER, in Acts 20:28 we read, "“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. ACts 20:28
Note, it was God's blood, which purchased the church. Only the blood of a sinless God-man could atone for the sins of all mankind, and that sinless God-man was Jesus Christ.

I don’t know where you got that idea but it is not from the Scripture. Paul who preached that Jesus was the Son of God said it was by the gift and grace of ONE MAN that many are save. Read it yourself:
