I don’t drink. I don’t see how people getting stoned drunk can be Christians any more than telling me your best witnessing happened in whorehouses... Handing them Bibles on your way out.
I didn’t read what WVK related as saying that anyone who claimed to be a Christian was getting stoned drunk.
Now, I would agree with you on your post, but since he didn’t relate as to anyone being drunk, as much as drinking, I don’t think there’s really anything to object to.
Whoa! Where did that getting stoned drunk comment come from? I didnt get any stoned drunk from his comments.
Matthew 9: 9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collectors booth. Follow me, he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthews house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
