Have you read the Book “Morals and Dogma” which is considered to be the “bible” of Freemasonry? If so, how do you know it’s not a religion based on Satan? I am not a mason, but have read a copy.

It removed all doubt for me.

Does that mean every mason knows this? No. Some are “hoodwinked”. Which by the way, is a masonic term as well.

Morals and Dogma is by no means considered the “bible” of Freemasonry. It’s one man’s opinions (who considered himself a Christian, though likely an unorthodox one). Very few masons have ever even seen a copy, much less read it or understood it. This is likely to which you refer: http://www.masonicinfo.com/lucifer.htm

As to the original post (assuming it’s true, to which I have extreme doubts), it sounds like the disgruntled ramblings of one individual. Furthermore, Freemasonry in France is a jumbled mess of organizations, “Masonic,” pseudo-Masonic, and other groups- most of which are not recognized as being legitimate by any other group. I would not be surprised if this “Mason” would not be welcome in any Masonic Lodge in the world outside of his own little circle.
