Eating shellfish and wearing clothing of mixed fibers are also prohibited in the Bible.
I believe when preaching to the Gentiles, St. Paul said it was not mandatory for them to comply certain Jewish customs relating to dietary laws and circumcision. That said, however, I don’t think it means we should dismiss the Old Testament in its entirety. There is still good advice to be found there IMHO.
