The Romans recognize marriages in churches other than their own as valid. Therefore, those unions must also be annuled before marriage in the Roman Church.
If the convert was married in a civil ceremony, a simple civil divorce might do.

Yes. Any baptized man and woman, eligible and willing to marry, who intend their marriage to be exclusive, open to life, and durable until sundered by death, are considered married with a Sacramental bond, whether they are Catholic, or are married in the Catholic Church, or not.
As I understand it.

Dear Mrs. Don-o,
Please stop this sort of historical fact-based post. The evidence is very distracting and when I am caring for the poisonous snakes used in our biblically-inspired services, this could prove fatal.
Why can't you papists fight fair?

I wonder if there are any divorced Catholics who can't obtain an annulment. My SIL is seriously considering divorcing my BIL. She said without hesitation or a shadow of a doubt that she would get an annulment. She's very devout - daily Mass, Bible study, etc. She's also been married 25+ years and has three kids. 0.o

Modern “marriage” is just a scam to defraud men and turn them into indentured servants.
