Even tho it was revealed to Peter (before Paul came along) that Gentiles could be included into the religion, Jesus hunted for an intellectual Roman who was also a Jew and enemy of the church to reveal and lead his church...One who could be all things to all people...
One who could/would dump all of his intellectualism/man made wisdom in favor of the knowledge and wisdom of God...Our first real Pope, Pope Paul...
If I was a popish type person, I'd follow Paul...He wins over Peter, hands down...But thank God, Jesus revealed to us (thru Paul and Peter) that there ain't no pope...
