NOTE: UNIVERSAL pope in Rome. Even IF those guys were named bishops of Rome, they did NOT have universal jurisdiction over all of Christendom. There were bishops in Antioch, Jerusalem, Constantinople, Alexandria and elsewhere. Get a history book.
