Joel? Is that you?
Man does not have the authority to change the will of God on any subject. We have been given severe warnings in several places in the Bible concerning any changes that we try to make to God’s word. As we have already seen in Galatians 1:6-9, if we pervert the gospel by changing it, we will be accursed.
Another such warning comes in the closing verses of the Bible. Revelation 22:18-19 says, “For I testify unto everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, and from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” These are very stern warnings that should get our undivided attention.
How much stronger warnings could God give to those who try to make changes to His will when they change immersion into sprinkling, or to change the necessity of baptism for one to receive forgiveness of sins and be saved to their saying that baptism is not necessary for salvation. God has said plainly that it is necessary.
1 John 3:4 tells exactly what sin is. “Everyone who keeps sinning is violating Torah indeed, sin is violation of Torah.” CJB
But most people will say that we are no longer under the law, and they do not understand the scriptures. Remember, Yeshua said He did not come do abolish the Torah, but to show us how to live it.
A very sad time when most people will not listen to Truth. But that is the way most people are... the road is very narrow...
Anybody with 2 brain cells to rub together only has to look at this guy to see that he is a fake. I can’t change the channel fast enough when his smirking face appears on my TV. I don’t understand how people can get taken in by these types of people. He is disgusting.

I don’t know if it is universalism but I do know that that is one of the reasons I left the Episcopal church. When the new female bishop (a person totally unqualified to be the bishop of the ECUSA) said the same thing I was done. Never mind all the other strange doings coming out of the Episcopal church. After 45 years, I was done.

I totally disagree. This article twists Joel’s comments and says that he believes Universalism. He does neither believe that not does he teach that. If you ever tuned into his church service via the internet you will see much more than the 30 minute segment on TV. This man believes just as you and I believe. He preaches the gospel of salvation... Even gives an altar call. He believes we are saved by the blood of the lamb and that Jesus’ blood washed away our sin. The problem people have is that he us full if love and acceptance for all people. He does not preach fire and brimstone... For me that’s some pretty “Good News”. Be careful what negative things you share about anyone. We are the body... The bride and we need to come together in a oneness and love for one another. I’m sorry this article is spewing such untruth and hatred toward another brother in Christ. It truly breaks my heart.I cannot tell you how my heart is grieving for the Body of Christ... His beloved BRIDE. I have seen so much division and judgement, even condemnation of other believers and Christian leaders that I am truly “sick” about it. You see, I believe Jesus is coming for us soon. He is coming for His Bride but from what I see, His Bride is not ready. The Body of Christ is so full of judgement toward each other. If this one doesn’t believe the way we believe or preach what we preach then He must be Apostate. We hurt one another and then throw stones. But I so believe it is BY HIS LOVE THEY WILL KNOW US! The world is watching us. The unbelievers are watching us attack and destroy each other. We have become so judgemental against everything that our love doesn’t show. It’s Jesus in us that gives grace to others who have fallen down. We help them up and love them. Once they get saved we say, “Ok... now shape up or ship out.” But we are all humanbeings trying to walk in the Holy Spirit. Some days we walk in sweet alignment with him... some days not so much. But we are not saved by our works... how good we are... but by the Power of God through the blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit who wants to permeate us with His love! We need to start giving more grace to one another... forgiving one another as HE forgave us. Only then ... when we align ourselves with HIM will the Bride be prepared for our Bridegroom!
Please refer to gay people as Homesexuals, not Homo’s. I think that being respectful is one way we orthodox (conservative) Christians can express our beliefs and still be people-oriented, so WE may show Christ’s love, and openly practicing sinners might repent and turn to Christ & the Word more deeply and truly.

Joel Osteen is the one who’s really judgemental and has a very low IQ. He’s turning good Christians into bad. How come that sins are welcome in Heaven. Yes we’re all sinners that’s why Jesus Christ died for us, but that’s not mean we’re all save. We must still accept Jesus and prove ourselves that we deserve to be welcomed in heaven by trying to be a real christian. NO SINS. Sin is a worldly thing not a heavenly thing. So try to be god-like as much as possible. DOn’t listen to Joel Osteen. I rebuke you in Jesus Name.
I am posting this because it really ticks me off. Joel has said publicly things that are contradictory to scripture. One being that Jesus is not the only way. Is that not enough? I believe he teaches a false gospel, but this article goes to far. He stretches something that is said and puts words in the mouth of Osteen. My opinion is that this is also false propaganda that would go agaist god’s law’s. Falsely accusing someone in the old testament was punishable by stoning. The author wants to quote bible verses such as:
1 Corinthians 6:8-10 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
This is truth!! BUT God’s grace covers these. Paul the Apostle fequenty wrote about the struggle man has (After salvation) between the flesh and the Spirit. We all struggle daily. Maybe this author has conquered his own sin by his own will? I know this to not be true! the only thing that makes us righteous is God’s grace. It is the blood of Christ that washes us clean! Maybe this author has no sin in his life that he continue to struggle with on a daily basis. Where he fights the guilt and shame and hides it from the rest of the world. If this is the case then to God be the Glory, but not everyone is so fortunate.
Sin is sin and God loves us. He wants to be reconciled with us. This involves repentance, but to think that being a saint means to be free from sin in false it is free from the guilt of sin and if you disagree with that you need to brush up on your doctrine. You can’t have it both ways!
That being said, Joel Osteen is a false teacher.

Good morning all, I dnt know why focus so much on what Joel, Joyce, Jakes or any preacher says about the Kingdom of God, when we have the Word of God to read, Jesus Christ to preach and teach and the Holy Spirit to lead us. Jesus said to Peter when he asked what about the other person refering to Judas Iskariot: “Fight You hard to enter the Kingdom...”. We are living in the last andevil days, therefore we must start to fix our eyes upon Jesus Chrst, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Amen
People are finally beginning to rebuke Joel and his wife. It has taken a while. For me it is very hard to say that a Pastor is not preaching the word of our Lord. My group of friends have been taking about Joel for quite sometime but only among ourselves. Joel has a lot of overhead expenses so I don’t see him going away anytime soon. His followers will awake one by one and Joel will be left with an empty building and a lot of nice suites.
We have all sinned at one time or another, but God does forgive sinners. We certainly need to ask God to forgive our sins.
