Negative publicity may frighten a craven and cowardly pastor to relent and (commit sacrilege and) give the Most Holy Sacrament of the altar to public sinners.
But pressure the Church in general to "change" the deposit of faith? Never!
There could be, and may be, martyrs' blood in the streets. But it still would not and could not ever change.
