Are you telling me that Lev. 17:11 is wrong when it says " it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul"? It does not say it is one of the things that make atonement, but
the thing.
The books you are talking about were written by men, wise men, but men nevertheless. Leviticus was written by inspiration of God.

The entire Bible is the word of God, not men. As for the blood, that is not the only way to atone for one’s sins. There are people who achieve atonement by refraining from forbidden speech, such as gossip, telling false tales that one knows are false, swearing, cursing, fighting, and so on. Restraining one’s tongue is so difficult that attaining this level is enough to prevent a second Holocaust.
