Phil's son {not shown on the series yet} will join the cast this season. He'll be without a beard. He is also a minister. The show does have some added scripting I imagine staged misadventures etc but so what? The biggest sport IMO is the uncle Phil's brother Si. A man who has been married to his wife over 40 years, has a grown daughter, and was an Army Lifer. He allows himself to be the target of a lot of pranks.

The company? Obviously many more persons work there as well. Thus they have time to make a show. Looking at the size of the building and inventory I'd guess about 15-25 not including the brothers. Is the family sincere in their beliefs? Yea I think so and thus they do the show for money and to provide a show which families can watch.

It certainly beats the bombardment of naked morons placing themselves in remote areas which seems to be a show both History and Discovery are competing with.

Tonight I'll watch Mountain Men. One person I consider a flat out phoney. He goes out of his way to make simple things difficult. He also took a pair of horses into a busy city. After that is Ice Road Truckers. I like Alex on that show. The guy with the cowboy hat who realizes his danger and prays. Later on in the week Deadliest Catch comes on and I'll watch it.
