Therefore, any praying with me at my request would have to present (or on email/text/discussion board) :>) to hear the request. If an angel watches over our little ones, and notices the actions of those who injure the child, then he notices those who ask holy things for the child.

Agreed. My impression was that you were getting too close to accepting the notion of praying to, or asking, dead saints (or angels) to pray for you.
