Was that what Jesus told Nicodemus? What did Philip (deacon) say to the Eunuch?

You mean the unsaved, not-yet born again, non Spirit filled Eunuch who had no leading nor understanding from Holy Spirit so he had to rely on a Christian teacher???

I would guess Jesus tells the same thing to Catholics who seem to need 'a man to teach them'...

>>So your response to my honest question, “where can I find the Church of God” is to mock me? I see.<<

Once again trying to twist my words and scripture. You didn’t ask where to find the “church of God”. You asked where to find the “phone number”. Please don’t play those troll games with me.

Big distinction — they knew Christ in person and carried out his plan to save the world by traveling from India to England and everywhere in between. They were the first Bishops of the Catholic Church.

The text CB quoted refers to the Gentiles receiving the Holy Spirit, and see my above post.

NOthing wrong with divorced folks. They have to do the same as everyone else - go to first confession, do RCIA, etc.

I did ask for a phone number.

This shouldn’t be a difficult question to answer, CB.

We ask living Christian believers to pray to God for us, so it is not wrong to ask those who have gone home to God to pray to God on our behalf as well.

Catholic bashing? I think not. It’s the teachings of the errant RCC that is being shown to be in error. Besides, we are instructed to point out error.

One charge leveled against the Catholic Church is that the Magisterium, or teaching authority, is continuously revealing the teachings of Christ. In actuality, the Church teaches that the period of divine revelation ended with the death of the last Apostle. The Magisterium only re-presents the sacred deposit of Christ’s teachings to each new generation, explaining to each age using in terms of its particular language and ideas the same unchanging truths of faith.

Sorry but we know better...And so do you, I'm sure...You want to show us in the scriptures where Mary is sinless??? You want to show us where Peter became a pope, or even suggested such a thing, or where purgatory is???

You probably missed this.

Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Consider it is like having an attorney speaking for you in a court case the chamber of the judge.

So that is how I treat a person who has gone home to God, they are there to pray to the King of Kings at His throne.

I do not agree with your posting.

the Catholic bashing

"Catholic bashing" is a result of the incessant promotion of RC elitist teaching, which thus invites challenges. If you do not want this, then restrict such to caucus threads.
