Has Iscool told you he believes that or are you reading his mind?
If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless. 7 But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.
8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith 10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection
Couldnt provide the answer ey? Tsk, Tsk, Tsk

2Pe_3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
How do you figure you are qualified to talk anything Bible when you don't have a clue what scripture says???

People who cannot keep their word are by definition untrustworthy.
Then, according to your interpretation of the verses Elsie posted, it is the act of "not sinning" that saves a person? Salvation in Heart-Rest's theology is that we save ourselves by our own works - if we are "good" we go to heaven, if we are "bad" we go to hell. Right?
Can you understand that it is ALL by God's grace that we are saved? There is a reason why God used the word "grace" and not just "mercy" when he speaks of our salvation. Grace means UNdeserved, UNmerited, UNearned and UN-worked for. Because of God's mercy we are not sentenced to everlasting hell due our sins. Because of God's grace we are adopted into His family as sons and daughters of the Most High God and given an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for us who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (I Peter 1:4,5).
You make the mistake of equating your religion with those other groups...Here's what you shoulda wrote:
I'm sure you must be very proud of yourself for knowing more than not only Christ and the Apostles, but all the Jews prior to 100 AD, every Christian prior to Luther, and every Catholic to this day.
That would be true but it has nothing to do with pride...
Problem for Catholics is that God’s standard for works is perfection.
Jesus told us to be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect.
That means NO sin. Zero.
They’re kidding themselves if they think it’s a good works outweighs the bad works scenario.
How do you figure you are qualified to talk anything Bible when you don't have a clue what scripture says???
So you are agreeing with me that the Earth and entire universe (heavens) will end. Is that what you are saying? Because a new heavens and earth mean the old ones are GONE!
Amen and Amen! and Amen!
Once again, Luther did not remove any books from the Bible. There is no Luther Subset of Scripture. Do you need that link again? Id be more than happy to provide it for you so you can avoid sounding ignorant next time....that is, unless you LIKE being wrong and telling everyone about it.
Jesus Christ doesn't specifically state that murdering infants in the womb with contraceptives is wrong, so there's nothing wrong with murdering infants in the womb with contraceptives.
Jesus Christ doesn't specifically state that there's anything wrong with the contents of the Septuagint, so there must be something wrong with the contents of the Septuagint.
To those who are not blinded by their worship of their own, Most High and Holy Self like Luther was it's clear that if there were anything wrong with what was included in Scripture then Jesus Christ would have pointed that out. Pharisees, Luther, and the Self Alone children of Luther, and anyone else who throws entire books of the Bible in the trash can are denying that Jesus Christ can and does defend His Word from error.
Which really isn't surprising when it comes from people who claim Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, was too stupid to make Himself clearly understood.

Martin Luther chucked 7 books from the God’s Holy Word during the Protestant Rebellion. These books were:
Tobit
Judith
1 Maccabees
2 Maccabees
Wisdom
Sirach
Baruch
as well as...
parts of Esther
parts of Daniel
But, why he decided to remove whole books from the Holy Bible?, and how he chose the 7 he did?, and how he felt that he had the authority to do something like that?, I have no clue. It’s just one more reason that I stick with Christ’s Church - the Catholic Church.
“Where does the Bible say that the Bible says everything?”
I am totally stealing this.
+1
Nobody loves my Evangelical brothers and sisters as much as I do, but "profitable" is not a synonym for "complete" or "all-encompassing" in ANY language.
