No ... I blame it on the parents. They are the primary teachers. It doesn't take a degree in rocket science to pick up a book and instruct one's child.
I could be wrong but I think a lot of parents just simply turn that responsibility over to the CCD teachers.
I have heard from time to time from friends who do teach CCD is that often the parents would drop the kids off and they are still, a few of them in pj pants. In other words, they put the unfair burden on the teachers.
