muslims seem to have a history of destroying wherever they go then placing a mosque over it to show their conquest. Haga Sofia, the Temple Mount, and now the WTC Victory mosque (which Bloomy & Gov Krispy Kreme seem to support) are other examples. I read somewhere that there is a mosque in Alexandria Egypt that was being repaired and they found what was believed to be the tomb of Alexander the Great.

There is no report of any building left on the Temple Mount by the time the Muslims erected the iconic Dome of the Rock and the gray-domed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the late seventh and early eighth centuries.

Since the clearing and site prep were probably done by illiterate slaves under the supervision of free underlings, it is unlikely that any "record" would have been kept. Anything useful would have been saved, and what was useless discarded. But I'm sure none of it went into a ledger.
