Imagine a world with no God: Imagine a world where rewards and punishments seem to be handed out in a wheel-of-fortune-like, random manner, where much does not make sense, you can never tell what will happen from day to day, and no one seems to be in charge.

Looks pretty much like our world, eh? Despite what people on here say, your choice is not "Believe in God and trust him, or get mad and be angry with Him." It's "Close your eyes and believe someone is in charge, or open them and see the world for the random, lonely, and ungoverned place it is." Once you get used to seeing it for what it is, learn to make the best of it. There's nothing out there but stars. But at least your thoughts are your own.

I’d love to be able to make something of the time I have. Do you know anybody with endocrine disease? I don’t mean to be rude, but if you don’t, then you don’t have a clue as to the hardships we go through every single day, straining just to be alert and forcing our brains to work as best they can, nevermind the near complete lack of energy we feel from the moment we wake up.

I remember when I was a kid, every time I said a bad word that nobody but myself could year, I used to profusely say “I’m sorry, sorry, sorry” because I thought that god could hear me, anyway, and would strike me dead if I didn’t immediately apologize. Nothing happened to me, and more profanity started to creep in during my teenage years. I’m in the latter half of my 20s, and I feel like god has forgotten me completely.

I imagine a world without god every single day, because I come on here and get my local, state, national and international news, and I see what’s happening in my area, state, country, and all around the world, and do you know what I see? A world that has no spiritual or otherworldy power watching over it. And those instances have little to no bearing on my own life.

I see myself still living with my parents, with no hope for a future. Logically, what is left to think except that there is nobody watching over me and trying to guide my life?

Imperfect lady :) /kidding...

Just a food for thought to perhaps nibble on sometime...

The New Testament... to think of it as testimony, like in a trial. The writer of each book is like a witness in a trial, testifying as to what they saw, heard, said, etc. They are testifying that what they say is true.

I thought, would I believe this person’s testimony ?

Here’s a sample written by a man who was later beheaded because he would not recant his testimony:

Blessings.

That might work except for the problem of "where did all this come from?". Add to that, the truth that there IS a design and order to the universe and not at all the random chaos some like to believe it is. However, I do agree with you that the choice we have is stark - there IS a God or there is NO god. I believe that God does exist because I have seen His work. I guess you could say I know too much to ever go to unbelief. I found out that God really IS a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and that he CAN be found when we seek Him with all our hearts.

Everything we see in life is consistent with what we should expect based on what the Bible says. Nothing contradicts the Bible.

Is there anyone who has never felt what seemed like doubt? Probably not.

But even if I wanted to lose faith, there’s no getting around the logical proof in Plantinga’s Modal Ontological argument.

Even more important is the historical evidence that Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and was resurrected in the flesh on the third day.
