That’s not the problem...its the now infinite number of interpretations that arise that has served to fracture the Christian community. Luther himself decried his own solo scriptura principle taking offense at milkmaids even interpreting the scriptures to their own liking...

I got as far as the third question and realized the answers were just more un-founded opinion with no proof or reference to back them up.
God would not use a man such as Luther? What about Moses? Paul? Balaam? The author knows not what he is talking about.

"A: Because he has left us in his works abundant proof, that if God saw a need for any reformation in his Church, such a man as Luther would not be selected to carry God's will into effect." Who are we to say who and how Gods uses anyone to further his Word?
That is pretty conceited and borderline blasphemy.

Yet each church can be held to examination BY the word of God. And each individual will be judged by God on how he decides and acts. Saying “The Priest told me so” isn’t likely to hold much weight, particularly since the only priesthood in the New Testament is the universal priesthood of the believer.

"A. No; for God has commanded us not to sit in judgment upon the Church, but to hear and obey her with respect; "and if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican." (Matth. chap. xviii.)
" The whole of humanity is the body of the Church not some organized institution formed 300 years after Christ's resurrection.

Dear Mr. Rogers. Untrue. In fact, there were 20 of them published in either High or Low German prior to Luther

” A. He declared, that it was not lawful for any Christian whatever to separate himself from the Church of Rome.”
Delusions of grandeur, should read “Church of Jesus Christ”, Rome has no meaning here other than geography of the time.

Welcome to FR, N00B.
Are you Catholic?
Somehow, I suspect otherwise ...
I smell a rat, boy.
You smell like a non-believer trying to stir up trouble.
You stink, Rat.

Were Jesus to have chosen a man to oppose the very Church He established would mean that Jesus is Satan and that we can not trust either His words or His actions.

A. I say with our Saviour, in the 8th chap. of St. Mark, “What will it avail a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?”
My soul is fine as promised in John 14:6 and a slew of other passages. “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”. “me” in this context is not a Church.

No, you are wrong. The previous German translations were meant for rich people, not commoners. And there were no complete translations into English other than Wycliffe, until the time of Tyndale.

You do know all of these early protestants were Roman Catholics OR they'd grown up in areas where Orthodoxy had once been present.
Then there was that period with the anti-popes ~ just thinking of the ones who were my own relatives makes me shudder!!!!!

This Baptist thinks you are right. Given the forces against us, I’ll gladly join with Catholics to oppose the attack against Christianity. We can discuss the meaning of Eucharist / Lord’s Supper when we are at peace...and that isn’t likely to come again within my lifetime in America!
