The structure is basically a cone-shaped pile of boulders with an estimated weight of 60,000 tons, which is heavier than most of todays warships.

So maybe calling it a "structure" is a loose use of the term. It's a pile.

Yeah. Trouble with that theory is that Peter, James, John, and Andrew were all professional fishermen with decades of experience who we can assume know the area very well. The Sea of Galilee is actually fairly small: you'd reasonably expect all the old salts to be able to locate shoals, reefs, sandbars, rock-piles, channels, etc. Right?
They were smart. They all knew where stuff was. They weren't a bunch of credulous tourists.
