I wanted to share with my fellow Freepers something I saw this weekend. I saw the love of God work through my child, a three year old girl who is the wonder of my world. This past Saturday the weather was finally nice so we got her red wagon out took a walk around our neighborhood. As we were walking past a house, we stopped to let a lady on a golf cart out of her driveway. I didn't realize she had her disabled grandson on the seat beside her. My daughter asked me to stop, there was a little boy she wanted to meet. The young man lifted his head up and made motions for his grandmother to stop. He indicated he wanted to see the wagon. His grandmother explained to me he had special needs (he is visually impaired and could not walk, although he is almost 3) and was not used to being around children. When my daughter invited him to come along and ride in her wagon with us, the little boy's grandmother started tearing up because she said the children in his neighborhood were afraid to play with him and would not come anywhere near him. His grandmother, named Peggy, told my daughter he couldn't see very well. Peggy put his bag of goldfish from the golf cart into the wagon with him. Throughout the wagon ride, my daughter would ask him if he wanted a fish and she would take them out of the bag and put them in his hand. She would then guide his hand to his mouth to make sure he got them in his mouth. When I asked her what she was doing, she told me "Mommy, he can't see so good. I am making sure he gets his goldfish." She talked to that little boy about things that we were passing and was treating him like she had known him for years. More times than I could count his grandmother Peggy would thank me with tears streaming down her face for my child showing her grandson such kindness.
Excellent! Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful story, I cannot see the screen now. :)
Nice story, thanks for sharing :)
I wish Freepers wouldn’t share stories like this in the beginning of the week.
Made my eyes well up.
Good Girl...

Your daughter sounds like a sweetie!
Wow! Great to read something other than gloom & doom.
Bless this child. Bless both children -— close to the heart of God!
“...unless you are like little children, you shall not inherit the Kindom of God.”
I like these vanities.
Thanks for sharing.
Looks like you’re doing a great job in raising your child.
Keep up the good work.
This story makes my problems seem.....so......small. Thanks for sharing. A great story. Much to learn from these two young children.
Everything is blurry....should clear up in a few minutes....God Bless you andyour lovey sweet little angel MissEdie, and thank you.
Thanks Miss E. You have a wonderful child.
I have 3 sons, ages 8,6, and 19 months. My wife and I try our best to raise them well. so far, all show signs of being caring and kind to others. We know other kids from their respective peer groups that seem to have mean streaks and go out of their way to inflict minor cruelty or insults. I know their parents and know that they are good people doing their best too. It’s odd. Some kids just do mean things. I’m glad your daughter shows this kindness. We need more of it in the world.
