The reason why you Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the Bible prohibits ingesting blood and that Christians should therefore not accept blood transfusions or donate or store their own blood for transfusion — when this conflicts with your own teachings that Jehovah’s Witnesses are not under the Mosaic law

From the official web site of Jehovah’s Witnesses, www.JW.org.:
“Leviticus 17:14. “You must not eat the blood of any sort of flesh, because the soul of every sort of flesh is its blood. Anyone eating it will be cut off.” God viewed the soul, or life, as being in the blood and belonging to him. Although this law was given only to the nation of Israel, it shows how seriously God viewed the law against eating blood.”

Please note the last sentence.

Well, my answer to your Jehovah's Witness theology is that this conflicts with your own teachings that Jehovah's Witnesses are not under Mosaic law -- how do you answer that?

And, it seems that ultimately you will allow this completely as over time, the Jehovah's Witnesses have gradually permitted each component of blood to be used, first globulin, then the clotting factors, plasma proteins. Hemoglobin was finally allowed in 2000-JUN

This is just as much an error in interpretation as your Jehovah's Witness belief that Jesus Christ is not God but the demiurge.

oh and BD, to your point, what do you think is wrong about Jehowah’s witnesses beliefs? Or are they Christian in your opinion?

The comment at the website, www.JW.org made clear that that the prohibition against use of blood was NOT based upon Christians following the Mosaic Law. The citation of Lev. was to demonstrate God's view of blood in His law. That was clearly stated as was the prohibition of blood given to Noah and Christians in the NT.

Did you actually read the comments at the web site?

As has been stated in the official comments from Jehovah's Witnesses what they feel they cannot state with certainty is left to the conscience of the individual not a matter of prohibition or allowance. (6/15/2000 WT, 6/15/2004 WT).

You claim this is a matter of erroneous interpretation but I haven't read ANY interpretation offered by you.

“This is just as much an error in interpretation as your Jehovah's Witness belief that Jesus Christ is not God but the demiurge.”

Try to stick to the question at hand, thanks you.
