That looks typical, but it doesn’t answer anything, it sounds like the cardinal is doing just fine and that at age 82 or whatever, he may have to settle for a low public profile, unless he moves into his own place and gives up his roll in the Catholic organization.
He was already removed from St. Mary Major as soon as canon law allowed. (Cardinals must be pastors of Roman churches.) The point of the incident was that it shows that Pope Francis was disgusted by him.
Pope Benedict and/or John Paul seemed to have had the attitude, “well, we don’t have any specific evidence that he broke any criminal or canon laws, as bad as the situation looks, and as tragic as the outcomes were.” Pope Francis seems to have more the attitude of, “well get him out of my sight anyway! He disgusts me!”
