Sometimes the things we were raised to believe seem obvious to us and therefore those who don't have the same understanding seem dense. On the other hand sometimes people have legitimate questions about things we have believed since childhood unquestioningly and casting scorn on them neither satisfies their curiosity or legitimizes our point of view.

I say: Romans 8:26. If I have the Holy Spirit, one of the Trinity of the Living God, interceding for me then of what benefit is praying to a human, even one that has gone on to heaven? The inner curtain of the temple was torn asunder because we no longer need another human to intercede for us.

Now that is just my opinion based on my limited understanding and I have no claim to divine revelation. I would be delighted to have you to offer some evidence in the form of scripture rather that just simply implying I'm thick for not agreeing with you (no matter how accurate that implication may be).

What BIBLE are you reading from??? My OXFORD STUDY BIBLE says This and yours says something totally different!!!...

Romans 8:26 "In the same way the Spirit comes to the aid of our weakness. We do not even know how we ought to pray, but through our inarticulate groans the Spirit himself is pleading for us",

Romans 8:27.."and God who searches our inmost being knows what the Spirit means, because he pleads for God's people as God himself wills:"

Pan....you might want to check into why these two readings are SO DIFFERENT!! My Bible says that even the Holy Spirit prays to God for us...even thought the Holy Spirit IS the Third Person of the Trinity!!
