Also, perfection is never been about the flesh, but about the heart. God knows the flesh is prone to sin due to the sin if Adam and that is why He gave us the covenant of the promise of a Redeemer. And now that the Redeemer has resurrected, we have an advocate before the Father that covers our sins as long as in our hearts we are doing our best to obey the Father as the Son obeyed the Father.
Deu 8:2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
Deu 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.
“...as long as in our hearts we are doing our best to obey the Father as the Son obeyed the Father.”
Can you tell me where doing our best is in the New Testament?
You are straining at gnats and swallowing camels. ‘Pod.
Now THAT is false teaching.
We are not covered with Christ's blood after we've done all we can.
Forgiveness is a gift, freely given for the asking.
Ephesians 2:4-10 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christby grace you have been saved 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
