For those who might not be interested in reading these kinds of threads, it might be a good skill to acquire to simply learn how to pass by those threads they do not wish to read without opening them at all.
If they wish to see other kinds of threads included in the "Religion Forum", they might also want to acquire the skill of learning how to create their own threads, with whatever subjects they wish to see reflected there.
Thanks again for these threads! (And please don't curtail them!)
☺
“Why the mountain of Catholic spam?
Isn’t there something that would interest the Religion forum other than the pope buying new underwear?”
That’s how you act when you worship a man instead of God.
You mistook the word “rich” which I meant in “rich” faith — there are so many facets to Catholicism. Prayers, saints, the celebration of the Mass, Scripture, Tradition — our faith is so rich.
I was not talking about material wealth at all. Please do not try to read my mind again.
I guess you missed these words **so much to learn**

Come back and tell me about it once you’ve sold all that you have and have distributed it to the poor. Until then, your hypocrisy reeks.

Oh I see. Until I give away everything I have no right to think there’s something wrong with a “christian” organization surrounding themselves with gold, jewels, fancy buildings, exotic cars and designer clothes?
Got it. thx.

I was aware of what you meant. My response was a play on the word “riches.”
It stings I know.
That would be an impressive one to "cast down at Jesus' feet" Those jewels must be worth millions.
And the palaces-—well they don't call them that-—are luxury fitting of Kings.
You would think some of that could be converted into help for all the poor suffering people in the world.
For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying,
Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor,
and to thy needy, in thy land. --Deuteronomy 15:11

Yep. It’s insulting to me to see a group that calls themselves Christians fawning over the $200 shoes of a man who supposedly is Christ’s representative on earth. The problem is that Christ was NOTHING like him.
