OK, Hebrews 6:1-2 is some doctrine.

But it doesn't mention any doctrines about the Trinity.....

The rest of the verses REFER to doctrine but do not state exactly what it is.

God teaches us doctrine through His word but not everyone is taught it.

Really? The Holy Spirit doesn't lead us all into truth through His word?

That's an interesting concept.

He does not like it when we say things that are not true about Him.

No kidding. That's why we go back to His word...

I would post the definition of "doctrine" but undoubtedly you would say that's heresy. So since you don't believe in doctrine, church statements, the scriptures in regards to right and wrong doctrine, the dictionary, the encyclopedia, and probably even Dr. Suess, what more can I say? We all go back to His word. It's just that you simply are trying to say, you're right and the rest of us are wrong. Where has our Lord pointed others out with that temperment?

Not that it really will matter to any of you, but I find that I have lost all credibility you, CB and presently no screen name. I sense a hardened heart to even remotely desire to understand. Xzins and I respectfully disagree but I understand where he's coming from and he understands the scriptures according to the wisdom given to him by the Father.

But these are some of the most silliest arguments I have ever seen on FR. Many of these comments typify EXACTLY what Catholics charge us Protestants with, making up our doctrine as we go along. It is rather with a certain irony that your support of free will, choosing to come to Christ, and following him in good works are consistent with Catholic beliefs. But you will probably never understand that. Not surprisingly, there are many Catholics that I have respect for since they know their faith, understand their doctrine, and can reasonably articulate it-even though I disagree with it.

After all, doctrine is only something that is taught. And I would hope that your church-whatever that is-is teaching you something.
