Well, there is some validity to the typology concept. One that Catholics will become very familiar with is the typology of Christ and anti Christ. The “alter Christus” or sometimes referred “persona Christus” is what the priest is called. Alter Christus literally means “another Christ”. Even those who are not Christian understand when we talk about the anti Christ and how he will be followed. Just look at the millions and millions of people who now follow an “alter Christus” to understand how easy it will be for the anti Christ.
With the combination of Christian and Pagan practices the Catholic Church has been very successful in deluding the masses. With their propensity to follow and believe the “apparitions”, visions, and prophecies of questionable origin it’s not difficult to envision the ease to which the anti Christ will rise to power. Scripture clearly shows that the Anti Christ will do “signs and wonders” and “appears and an angel of light”.
It’s amazing to me that even the Catholic Church itself gives clear signs of it’s place in prophecy.

Alter Christus literally means “another Christ”. 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
And they sure do.....
