If you diagram that sentence, it is an imperative sentence and the subject,(understood) is "you", the verb is "do" and the SUBJECT of the sentence is "this" the whole sentence could have read "you do this" and it would have been a complete sentence. Merely??? In remembrance is the key...It tell us WHY we do this...It tells us it is a memorial, not a feast...And you learned that at Mother of Good(?) counsel School, and in the 4th grade???
