All this is true so far as it goes, but the most basic thing is that
the Jewish religion is the Torah, which is everlasting and is
not a "preparation" for a greater revelation to come.
But good luck in getting any chrstians to actually even consider this. Their most fundamental religious assumption is that J*sus was the "messiah" and they read the Hebrew Bible with this assumption. They define "messiah" by what J*sus did (or allegedly did). So long as their church or their "new testament" tells them that the "old testament" predicted J*sus that is what they will believe.
I suppose you got the usual "new testament" quotations to "prove" that J*sus was the messiah?

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

We could bring those up. Or we could just rely on the words of Moses from the Torah. Words which confirm that the Torah IS a preparation for a greater revelation to come. But your heart is hardened just a Pharoh's was and Paul cautions us against vain arguments with this sort.

You are correct in your supposition

Actually you miss a very large part of why Christians believe Jesus is the foretold Messiah. Because of what He HAS DONE for US.
We have a personal relationship, with a savior, who points to the Old and New Testament, that is undeniable in our own personal lives.
Messianic Jews learn from the Torah as well. Lots of people believe in the prophecies of the Torah.
It might be your denominations’s understanding that the Torah is not prophecy- but that is not universal.
In fact Billions of people do not agree with you, throughout history.

But good luck in getting any chrstians to actually even consider this. You paint with too broad a brush - There are many Christians who are not so quick to discard the Torah... Myself included...
