The liturgical readings in the Mass in these Advent days have been of prophecy and the advent of earth-shaking events.
Yet, Scripturally, we are told to “look UP, for our Redemption is at hand.”
Even if the sky should fall, only one “preparation” is asked of us and that is to be at one with God.....to love God with all our heart, mind and soul and our neighbor as ourselves.
Be not afraid.
Look up-—your redemption is nigh.
“Lo, I am with you always—yes, to the end of time.”
Heavenly Father, let me not succumb to dread of the ultimate things, but give me companions who help me to say, “Come, Lord Jesus!”
