Where does it say that Christ's sweat atones for our sins??

From something OTHER than mormon sources.

No one questions Jesus' travail in the Garden, but to Christians the Atonement is on the Cross. Just more of mormon doctrine being claimed as Christian doctrine.

So... Why do you think Jesus Travailed in the Garden?

Mormons see the atonement as two parts that don't work without each other.

1) In the garden Jesus Suffered for our sins.
2) On the cross Jesus Gave his life for us, sealing his suffering for our sins, and opening the way for the resurrection.

It wouldn't matter much if Jesus suffered for our sins if we stayed dead, and a resurrection of damnation is equally ineffective.

[grin]Remember, we think our doctrine IS “Christian Doctrine”.[/grin]

I get it that I'm way outnumbered here, please don't feel the need to tell me you don't agree, I got that already.

Delph

Just for fun though, anyone got a good answer to what Jesus did with his body if he was resurrected and God doesn't have a body? (Please don't tell me he died again, or that he put it somewhere safe...)
