There is no paid clergy in the LDS Church. We are all volunteers. There is no passing of the plate on Sundays. We tithe, yes, but that’s a private matter and none of your business.

You are right about one thing. Your Jesus is not my Jesus. My Jesus accepts me and loves me; He does not condemn me. He came to save me from my sins. Your Jesus condemns me and rejects me. How sad for you that you actually believe you are qualified to judge me regarding my Testimony of the Savior.
Your ill conceived opinion of the LDS faith is leading you astray. I kind of get it, though, as I used to be an anti Mormon, too - out of ignorance and being deceived by preachers and other so-called Christians.

You've already told us you haven't repented of all your sins SD. How then can this mormon Jesus save you. since this mormon jesus cannot promise forgiveness - why should I follow him? Again, before you blankety-blank me - discuss your doctrine problem with your bishop.

Sandy, you need to do your research. While there is NO LONGER a paid clergy in the LDS - there was up until the mid 20th century. Even patriarchs got paid PER patriarchal blessing.
Today, LDS leaders get money by being placed on multiple board of directors for LDS owned business, up to a million dollars PER YEAR - even if they know nothing about the business for a SINGLE MEETING and stay on the board of directors until they die and get paid even if they cannot make the meetings (ET Benson is great case of this).
Additionally, CES instructors, MTC instructors, etc are ALL PAID.
Add to that, the LDS leaders have a built in market for their books. They publish a book of old talks, sell it for $30 dollars and know they will sell easily 500,000 copies. All money for them.
I can document all of this. So, don’t play the holier than thou card because your church has slave labor at the lower levels.
