Associated baptist and Cooperative baptist are the moderates who find the squishy Southern baptist convention to extreme. My point was how squishy can they be if they are producing 80% republican voters?

The SBC presents the same pattern as the GOP. The membership base is orthodox and conservative the ‘leadership’ in Nashville and at some of the theological colleges, Louisville in particular, are ‘moderates’ who feel the need to make the Baptist church ‘relevant’ to ‘21st century issues’. Sounds familiar doesn't it. Just like a John McCain campaign insider.
