Wow. I went to Istanbul and visited this incredible basilica (later mosque, now a museum). Here is my photo of the hand print, said to be originally the Virgin Mary's (unlikely) from a church that was destroyed, and then the tile was moved here for preservation. The hand symbol is also told to be a sign pointing to the Holy Grail. Cool stuff.

One day that will be a church again, and the city will be known by its proper name, Constantinople.
