How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38). So first of all healing is good. And second sickness is of the devil not God. God anointed Jesus for the purpose of healing (Luke 4:18). Notice Jesus was teaching one day and it says, "The power of the Lord was present to heal them" (Luke 5:17). So God uses his power to heal not to make sick. And notice people sought to touch him, people came to him to lay his hands on them, they ran and got all the sick and laid them in the streets so that they could touch his garment, they decided they were going to receive their healing not God. That's why God supplied the power for their healing. They sought him so that let's me know that it's not about if it's God's will, but their decision to go and receive. Have you noticed that Jesus never prayed for God to heal someone. He never told his disciples to pray to God to heal someone, he said you heal them. They didn't have to pray to God for him to heal someone because they already knew his will and he already supplied his power. Notice Jesus told his disciples to pray, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven." Are there any sick in heaven, no, so God doesn't want any sick on the earth.
The blood of Jesus purchased your healing. Just as God wants everyone saved, he wants everyone healed they are both by the same blood. Can you imagine taking someone out to a buffet and paying for them to eat and then not wanting them to eat. And yet, that's how some people view God. He sent his only begotten son to purchase your healing with his blood, so why would he not want you healed (2Peter 2:24). Healing has to be received. Notice Jesus didn't just go to people they came to him to receive healing. Jesus was full of grace and truth and people came to him to receive grace from him. And that power is present today. That's why Jesus said it was good that he go away so that the Comforter would be sent. Now that power is present everywhere at all times. And God does not change, the power was present to heal then and it is present to heal now.
ransomnote God made healing available and it’s up to people to receive it and God always says yes to his promises (2Corinthians 1:20). Thanks!
I know and see around me so many people whom God hasn’t healed, whether he wanted to or not, which I would suggest is not known. And I’m one of them. Perhaps it is that God wants us healed while his people want us wounded.
THANK YOU Nervous Tick I’m so glad someone got the message. Thanks!!!!
He sometimes says “No” to prayers.
We were dead and through Christ, we live. That is healing promised to us.
To imply that we only need to have sufficient faith to be healed is unintentionally unkind. There are plenty of faithful people not healed. I am sorry we must agree to disagree.
cantfindagoodscreenname everyone dies people who were healed by Jesus are dead now and they had faith to get healed. Thanks!
BereanBrain Paul’s thorn in the flesh was not sickness it was “The messenger of Satan” a evil spirit. And bad things happens to believers because we live in a fallen world. Thanks!
Dear lurk don’t be silly who is going to live for thousands of years even people who was healed by Jesus didn’t live for thousands of years. And if someone is wearing glasses, or have cavities, or any other infirmity healing is available. Thanks!
Thank you Bellflower for your comment.
AmericanSamurai I am not making God out to be a liar. I am saying healing according to the word is already done(2Peter 2:24) that is not a promise. God says it is done now it’s up to people to receive it. Thanks!
Thank you Delta 21 for taking the time to read this.
Mr. Rogers yes I have. Have you ever read Acts 10:38 and 2Peter 2:24.
HarleyD if God sent his son to provide healing and Jesus shed his blood for your healing how could anyone think it’s not his will. Thanks
Do you have any cavities?
If this false gospel you preach were true, then the apostles would still be alive today. Frank, if the Lord should tarry, you will get sick and die one day. No amount of faith in faith will stop that from happening.
CORRECT !
The article stated that God sent the Apostles to heal. God sent them out to do other things as well.
The healing was to substantiate the "Kingdom-at-Hand" Gospel the Apostles were sent to preach, to fulfill Isaiah ch. 35, regarding the Davidic Kingdom on Earth, which would have been realized in that generation had Israel, as a nation, repented and received their Messiah (See Acts 3:19-21).
If it was an evil spirit, why didn’t the bible say so? The fact it says “flesh” means it’s a physical problem, not a thorn in the “spirit” or “soul”.
Yes, we do live in a fallen world, until Jesus returns to rule!
We (believers) get old, sick and die. In this life, our healing is spiritual. We are BORN AGAIN. Our spirit grows and is not prone to the faults of this world.
When we get a new Body, then we will be healed physically. To be healed of an infirmity now (in our corrupt bodies) only fixes things a little while, then we are back to another sickness, illness, and eventually death.
God does NOT grant believers Health and Wealth in this life. It would RUIN US.
The healing that is done before the kingdom comes, is always to glorify God and show his power and help spread the Gospel. it’s NOT because person A prayed harder than person B, or Person B deserved it more.
The new Kingdom is NOT here YET! We are to hold on, be salt and light until He returns. THEN he will set all things right.

Yes, it never made any sense that Oral Roberts built a hospital.
Paul being a Hebrew, who was well studied in the writings that make up our Old Testament, would have understood a thorn in the side, or flesh, as being descriptive of evil people. He was constantly badgered by and plagued with the Judaizers spreading false doctrines, and zealous Jews seeking to do him harm. Judaizers tried to convince the people of the Church to come back under the Law, and return to the keeping of it, and also all of the Jewish traditions, in order to gain salvation. They were a real headache to him. It can be understood that they were likely Paul's greatest obstacle in his efforts at trying to help the members of the Church to understand what the grace of God meant, and how to remain in the teachings of The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Also, as Paul had persecuted the Church before he became a believer, so did many Jews constantly persecute him in many ways. They caused him many problems and were vexing "thorns in his flesh".
Numbers 33:55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them [shall be] pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.
Ezekiel 2:6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns [be] with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they [be] a rebellious house.
Ezekiel 28:24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor [any] grieving thorn of all [that are] round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I [am] the Lord GOD.
