I’m sure Jesus would have been appalled.
I am not trying to sound elitist. I know that making the effort to attend is what counts.
My gripe is that people just do not make a strong effort to be undistracted—their cell phones go off all the time or the kids cannot sit for an hour without eating or drawing in a coloring book or walking up and down the aisle. Some women dress in tank tops with exposed bra straps and daisy mae shorts.
It’s been so significant at this church that the pastor makes an announcement each week and posts a notice in the bulletin each week about how to act.
I hope you just forgot the (sarc) tag.
Jesus would be appalled at most of you hypocrites,
Matthew 23:25
Amplified Bible (AMP)
25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, pretenders (hypocrites)! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the plate, but within they are full of extortion (prey, spoil, plunder) and grasping self-indulgence.
Yea, Jesus was always concerned about man’s exterior... (/sarc). BTW, who get’s the “job” of determining what “proper” is?
“Be you therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Father is perfect.” Jesus Christ, Matthew 5:48
